Role Description

This is a full time remote role for a Short Term Rental Operations Manager, based in South Africa and working UK business hours. You’ll take ownership of the day to day running of our UK portfolio, managing cleaning and turnover scheduling so every guest arrives to a spotless property. You’ll build and manage a reliable local supplier network for every property, including cleaners, maintenance contractors and waste collection services, and coordinate maintenance so issues are resolved quickly. The role also covers compliance tracking across the portfolio, handling guest escalations, driving review performance, managing damage and reimbursement claims on Airbnb, Booking.com and other platforms, and preparing new properties to go live. You’ll set and oversee KPIs across the operations team, and write and improve the SOPs that keep the business running smoothly as it scales.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in short term rental management, serviced accommodation, hospitality or property management
• Proven experience managing teams and suppliers remotely
• Experience coordinating cleaners, contractors and other suppliers to maintain quality standards
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple properties
• Calm, decisive problem solving when handling escalations and operational issues
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience with Airbnb, Booking.com and property management systems
• A process driven approach, with experience building or following SOPs and tracking KPIs
• Comfortable working UK business hours, with reliable high speed internet and backup power at home
• Knowledge of the UK rental market or UK property compliance is a bonus
