EthJob Description Develop Advanced Simulation Software for a young ETH Startup Design and implement cutting-edge simulation solutions for axial flux electric motors. Focus on multiphysics interactions and finite element methods to support design and development efforts. Optimize and refine FEM-based tools for performance and accuracy Implement Comprehensive Multiphysics Features for electromagnetics, thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics simulations Collaborate closely with the engineering team to imporove electric motor solutions Requirements Your Profile Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science Knowledge of electromagnetics and electric motor behavior, AFM, Axial Flux, SMC, EM Simulation, Axial Flux Motor, Magnets, and Stator Strong FEM/multiphysics focus Team-player Fluent in English Nice to have Experience with tools such as OpenFOAM, SparseLizard, Kratos Multiphysics, FEniCS, FreeFEM, or Elmer FEM Experience in e-mobility or electric drive systems Benefits Start: By agreement Duration: Ongoing Workload: 80–100% Location: Hybrid (remote & on-site) Salary: based on experience
