Role: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: £90,000

Location: Fully Remote

Perm - 12-Month FTC

I'm working with a major UK technology-led business looking for a Senior SRE who can CODE!

This isn't a role for someone who simply manages infrastructure, monitors dashboards or maintains existing systems.

We need a genuinely hands-on engineer with strong software development skills who can build tooling, automate infrastructure and solve complex engineering challenges through code.

What we're looking for:

✅ Strong coding ability – confident writing production-quality code, ideally in Python, Go or similar languages.

✅ Software engineering mindset – able to design, build, test and maintain reliable tooling and automation.

✅ Cloud experience – ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), although AWS experience is relevant.

✅ Kubernetes & Terraform – strong experience with containerisation and infrastructure as code.

✅ Observability & reliability – experience with monitoring, incident management, SLOs and SLIs.

✅ Problem-solving – someone who enjoys getting into the code to fix problems rather than relying on manual workarounds.

You'll be joining an established engineering team working on complex, large-scale systems, with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on reliability, automation and platform performance.

The key requirement? You MUST be comfortable coding. We're looking for an engineer who combines strong SRE/platform experience with real software engineering capability.
