This is NOT a general Snowflake Data Engineer position.

HVR (High Volume Replication / Fivetran HVR) is the primary requirement for this role.

The hiring team is specifically seeking engineers who have hands-on experience utilizing HVR to replicate enterprise data into Snowflake environments.

Candidates without direct HVR experience will not be considered.

Our client is a global aerospace and defense organization undergoing a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative. The company is investing heavily in cloud-based analytics, reporting, and enterprise data platforms to support critical business operations across a complex global environment.

As part of this transformation, the organization is building and expanding its Snowflake ecosystem while leveraging HVR for large-scale data replication and ingestion. This role will support key initiatives involving enterprise source systems, cloud data warehousing, analytics enablement, and data platform modernization.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to join a highly visible enterprise data engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-based data solutions.

This individual will work closely with architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver modern Snowflake solutions capable of supporting large volumes of enterprise data. The ideal candidate has experience building performant data pipelines, optimizing Snowflake environments, troubleshooting complex data integration issues, and utilizing HVR to support enterprise replication requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise Snowflake solutions.
• Configure and maintain HVR replication processes and data integrations.
• Develop and optimize ELT and ETL pipelines supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.
• Create and maintain SQL stored procedures, views, and Snowflake data structures.
• Utilize Snowflake Streams and Change Data Capture (CDC) methodologies to support enterprise data movement.
• Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate results.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, replication failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support large-scale cloud migration and data modernization initiatives.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance across Snowflake environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and platform design.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing Snowflake solutions.
• Advanced SQL development skills.
• Experience creating and supporting stored procedures, views, and performance tuning activities within Snowflake.
• Experience utilizing Snowflake Streams and CDC methodologies.
• Experience building enterprise data warehouses and data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience troubleshooting complex data integration and data quality issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

HVR REQUIREMENT

HVR experience is mandatory.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate comes from a large enterprise environment and has supported Snowflake modernization efforts at scale. They should have extensive experience with Snowflake engineering, strong SQL skills, and a proven track record utilizing HVR for enterprise data replication and integration.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $78.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
