Description

We are HALO! We connect people and brands to create unforgettable, meaningful, and lasting experiences that build brand engagement and loyalty for our over 60,000 clients globally. Our nearly 2,000 employees and 1,000 Account Executives located in 40+ sales offices across the United States are the reason HALO is the global leader in branded merchandise, uniform programs, and recognition and incentive solutions.

In this role as Social Compliance Analyst, you will serve as the primary resource for HALO’s factory compliance function, overseeing social compliance audits, factory approvals, and disclosure requirements across client programs. The Social Compliance Analyst reviews and evaluates factory audit results, supports factory approval determinations, and coordinates client disclosure and preapproval activities to ensure HALO’s supplier base meets applicable social accountability, ethical sourcing, and client-specific factory compliance requirements. This role operates with a high level of independence in evaluating audit findings, assessing factory compliance risk, and coordinating factory approval status across applicable client programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HALO’s factory social compliance program, including social compliance audit review, factory approval tracking, and disclosure management across applicable client programs.
  • Review and evaluate social compliance audit reports (SMETA, BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, and client-specific audit standards) to determine factory approval status, identifying critical findings, corrective action requirements, and risk factors.
  • Manage factory disclosure and preapproval submissions to clients (e.g., Walmart, Lowe’s, Nintendo), ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation and audit results.
  • Maintain a centralized factory database serving as the single source of truth for factory approval status, audit expiration dates, corrective action plans, and client-specific requirements.
  • Proactively monitor audit expiration timelines and coordinate re-audit scheduling with factories and audit providers to prevent lapses in approval status.
  • Manage corrective action plans (CAPs) resulting from audit findings, tracking factory remediation progress and verifying closure of critical and major non-conformances.
  • Coordinate with Product Compliance Analysts to communicate factory approval status for assigned accounts, supporting product testing and inspection workflows.
  • Support client-specific social compliance requirements that fall outside the standard framework, coordinating with the relevant Product Compliance Analyst on account-specific protocols as needed.
  • Research and stay current on evolving social compliance standards, ethical sourcing regulations, and industry trends impacting factory compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize factory compliance procedures, workflows, documentation practices, and approval processes across client programs with similar requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably in supply chain, compliance, or consumer goods.
  • 3+ years of experience in factory compliance, social compliance, supplier management, ethical sourcing, or a related function in consumer products.
  • Advanced working knowledge of social compliance audit standards including SMETA, BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, and client-specific factory audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate audit reports, assess findings severity, and evaluate factory approval eligibility.
  • Experience managing factory corrective action plans and tracking remediation to closure.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a centralized compliance database across multiple factories, clients, and audit timelines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams, factories, audit providers, and client compliance contacts.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to evolving compliance standards, ERP systems, customer platforms, and external compliance tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the promotional products or consumer goods industry.
  • Experience with product safety regulations (CPSIA, ASTM, CPSC) in addition to social compliance.
  • Experience with sustainability, environmental compliance, and scope 3 reporting requirements.
  • WRAP, SA8000, or SMETA auditor training or certification.
