About this Role:

Consertus is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Social Media & Content Specialist to manage our social media presence and translate brand, corporate communications, and marketing initiatives into compelling content that strengthens awareness, credibility, and engagement.

Reporting to the Vice President of Brand & Corporate Communications, this hands-on specialist will manage social editorial planning, content creation, publishing, community engagement, analytics, and optimization. The role also supports thought leadership, industry award submissions, campaigns, company announcements, and other marketing and communications initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines excellent writing and editorial judgment, experience with B2B audiences, strong collaboration, and the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives. This is more than a posting role: you will proactively identify stories, establish repeatable workflows, and use performance insights to improve Consertus’ presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Channel Management

  • Develop and manage social media plans across relevant platforms, including monthly and quarterly editorial calendars, publishing schedules, and platform-appropriate messaging.
  • Manage day-to-day channel publishing and operations, with attention to audience needs, brand consistency, and timely execution.
  • Monitor platform trends, emerging formats, competitor activity, and industry conversations to identify opportunities for visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Build efficient processes for content intake, creative requests, approvals, and publishing.

Content Creation & Editorial Development

  • Proactively source stories and content opportunities from project milestones, client successes, employee experiences, events, industry insights, company news, and awards.
  • Write and edit engaging, on-brand social copy and adapt articles, webinars, customer stories, presentations, announcements, and thought leadership into compelling social content.
  • Develop creative briefs and direction for graphics, video, and digital assets; collaborate with the Brand Creative Team and outside creative resources as needed.
  • Work with executives and subject-matter experts to translate technical topics into accessible content while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Apply sound editorial judgment and coordinate appropriate client, project, legal, and confidentiality approvals before publication.
  • Content Marketing & Corporate Communications
  • Support website copy, articles, employee and project spotlights, campaign messaging, and other branded marketing communications materials.
  • Coordinate industry award submissions, including information gathering, drafting, stakeholder input, and deadline management.
  • Assist with executive perspectives, thought leadership, conference communications, event promotions, company milestones, and post-event recaps.
  • Organize and maintain marketing content and assets to keep materials accurate, current, and accessible.

Community Engagement, Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor social comments, questions, brand mentions, and relevant industry conversations; respond or escalate as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement with customers, prospects, partners, employees, and industry communities and support executive visibility and employee advocacy.
  • Track reach, engagement, traffic, audience growth, and other relevant performance indicators, sharing regular reports and actionable recommendations.
  • Test messaging, formats, and approaches, using audience insights and performance data to continuously improve results.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Corporate Communications, leadership, the Brand Creative Team, and subject-matter experts to support marketing and business objectives.
  • Coordinate deadlines, deliverables, stakeholder reviews, and approval workflows to ensure timely, accurate, high-quality content.
  • Operate independently, recommend new ideas, and help establish scalable, repeatable content management practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 – 6 years of experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, corporate communications, or a related field.

• Experience independently managing professional social media channels, publishing schedules, and content calendars.

• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and editorial judgment, including the ability to simplify complex subject matter.

• Strong understanding of B2B social media and content marketing.

• Experience with social media scheduling, management, and analytics platforms and the ability to interpret performance data.

• Strong organization, project management, stakeholder management, and deadline management skills.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, work independently, and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and creative teams.

• Portfolio or work samples showing social media writing, campaigns, content development, or channel management.

Key Competencies

• Strategic and creative content thinker with excellent editorial instincts.

• Self-directed executor who can manage competing deadlines and establish effective workflows.

• Analytical marketer who translates performance insights into content improvements.

• Collaborative communicator comfortable working with executives, technical experts, and creative partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B technology, professional services, or other complex industries.

• Experience leveraging LinkedIn for brand awareness, executive visibility, business growth, and thought leadership.

• Basic graphic design or video-editing capabilities; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, HubSpot, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, or comparable tools.

• Experience with executive thought leadership, employee advocacy, content repurposing, public relations, or external corporate communications.

• Curiosity about new social media formats, platforms, and AI-enabled content tools.
