Social Media Intern - Sports Marketing

Do you love sports and consider social media your playground? At OTC, we’re building a marketing agency fully dedicated to basketball—and we need you to help us do it. As a Social Media Intern, you won’t just be tagging along: you’ll work with us to build a community from the ground up that lives and breathes the sport. This isn’t an internship where you run errands. You’ll be given real responsibility, contribute creatively, and see firsthand the impact of your work. Location : Remote | Start : Immediately | Duration : 3–6 months | Compensation : Unpaid Type : Mandatory internship or voluntary internship (up to 3 months) Develop a strategy : You’ll design a social media strategy for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms—from target audience analysis to content planning Create content : You’ll produce Reels, TikToks, Stories, and posts that resonate with the basketball community Build a community : You’ll interact with fans, players, and teams to build an engaged following Identify trends : You’ll keep your finger on the pulse of the basketball and social media worlds and bring fresh ideas to the table Evaluate performance : You’ll track KPIs, analyze what works, and continuously optimize You’re a pro at creating content (Reels, short videos, graphics)—even your personal work counts A keen sense of social media trends, especially on TikTok and Instagram Creativity, initiative, and a desire to build things from scratch Basic knowledge of tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar programs A genuine passion for sports (ideally basketball)—whether as a fan, player, or both Enrolled in a college or university (for a mandatory internship) or available for up to 3 months (voluntary internship) Fluent in English ; good German is a plus Startup experience from day one – No corporate rat race, just real creative freedom Access to the world of basketball – Connections with players, teams, and the German basketball scene Steep learning curve – Direct responsibility for a brand in its early stages 100% remote – Work from anywhere Official internship certificate and, upon request, a recommendation on LinkedIn🤝 Opportunities – With good performance, there is the possibility of long-term employment
