Are you someone who opens a brand's social page and immediately knows what to post next?
Your feed is full of hair transformations, product drops, and creators you've been following before they blew up.
You've grown social accounts that sell products, not just collect likes.
You'll own the full social calendar and post content that drives sales through TikTok Shop and Instagram.
You'll connect every piece of content to the brand's revenue funnel.
If this sounds like you, read on.
About the Role
This is an execution-oriented Social Media and Social Commerce Manager role. You will translate the brand's strategy, founder voice, campaign priorities and content direction into consistent, timely and commercially effective social execution.
The brand will provide the overarching direction, founder voice, campaign priorities, promotional strategy, messaging frameworks and much of the copy. We need a highly capable operator who can take that direction and execute it consistently, accurately and with strong judgment.
This is an embedded team role, not an outside agency relationship. We want someone who becomes deeply familiar with the brand, customer and business.
Social Media Management
- Manage day-to-day execution across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
- Maintain and execute the approved social content calendar.
- Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time.
- Verify captions, tags, links, product information and calls to action.
- Coordinate founder-led content supplied by the internal team.
- Repurpose high-performing historical content when appropriate.
Community Management and Social Listening
- Monitor comments, tags, mentions, hashtags and direct messages.
- Respond to appropriate community interactions using brand guidelines.
- Route customer-service or product issues to the appropriate team member.
- Identify trends, emerging conversations and customer feedback.
- Monitor discussions involving the brand, its founder, its products and relevant textured-hair conversations.
- Escalate meaningful positive or negative social activity to marketing leadership.
UGC and Creator Discovery
- Identify strong UGC featuring the brand's products.
- Request permission to repost or collaborate when appropriate.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of potential UGC creators and micro-influencers.
- Identify creators who meet established criteria and flag high-potential opportunities.
- Conduct basic creator outreach.
- Support initial conversations involving creator codes, affiliate opportunities or paid UGC.
Social Commerce
- Support TikTok Shop and Instagram Shop execution.
- Ensure products are correctly tagged and linked.
- Check social-to-commerce links and customer pathways.
- Support live-selling initiatives and social commerce activations.
- Coordinate social promotions with e-commerce and campaign priorities.
- Monitor social-commerce performance and flag opportunities or problems.
Experience with TikTok Shop, Instagram Shop and live commerce is strongly preferred but will not automatically disqualify an otherwise exceptional social media operator.
Reporting and Optimization
- Prepare concise weekly social performance reporting.
- Monitor reach, engagement, shares, saves, follower growth, clicks and commerce-related activity.
- Identify top- and bottom-performing content.
- Recommend posts or concepts worth retesting.
- Flag material changes in performance.
- Bring observations and recommendations, not simply numbers.
This Role Is Not Primarily Responsible For
- Overall brand strategy
- Major campaign strategy
- Professional video production
- Advanced video editing
- Paid-media strategy
- Retail strategy
- Founder positioning
- Enterprise affiliate strategy
Basic video editing is a plus but is not required.
This Is for You If...
Culture Fluent. You understand bold, conversational and culturally relevant marketing.
Trend Radar. You spot shifts in consumer behavior and social trends before they peak.
Direction Plus Initiative. You follow the playbook and still flag opportunities others miss.
Accurate and Fast. You know speed matters, but you never sacrifice accuracy or judgment to hit publish.

What We Offer
- Schedule: Remote, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, flexible US timezone hours.
- Compensation: $2,500 to $3,000 USD per month.
- Team: Work alongside the founder and a growing in-house marketing team.
- Growth: Shape the social execution for a brand with products in 10,000+ retail stores and a fast-growing e-commerce business.
About Us
We are a textured hair care brand started by a hairstylist in New Orleans. What began as one salon chair turned into a product line sold in over 10,000 stores worldwide.
Our founder went after the customer the industry ignored. She built a brand for every curl, coil, and texture with formulas that actually work. A viral marketing campaign turned that mission into millions.
We are growing our in-house team and looking for people who get the culture, love the product, and know how to make social media sell. If you want to create content for a brand two million customers already love, this is the spot.
