Description
OHG Brands is home to America’s original, iconic restaurant brands. The company strategically develops and grows a diverse portfolio of fast-casual, quick-service and casual dining concepts around the world, using brand heritage as the foundation for growth and innovation that resonates with the next generation of fans. OHG Brands currently operates 12 restaurant brands: Round Table Pizza, Fatburger, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Great American Cookies, Buffalo’s Cafe & Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Native Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, and franchises and owns over 1,700 units worldwide.
The Social Media Manager is the brand-building voice and community owner for their assigned brand(s). This role blends strategic planning, always-on community management, and creative experience design — developing memorable experiential activations and influencer partnerships that build genuine connections between the brand and its guests. This person will split time between calendar/strategy work and planning or overseeing standout brand moments. This is a hands-on role: you’ll also be a primary content creator for your brand(s), shooting, editing, and publishing short-form video and social content that feels native to each platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Bring brand expertise, business priorities, and the guest/community perspective to strategic and creative planning
• Provide approvals and collaborate cross-functionally on creative development
• Own the integrated marketing/social calendar for assigned brand(s)
• Set promotional priorities and ensure cross-functional alignment across teams
• Conceptualize and manage experiential activations and influencer events that build brand buzz
• Identify and cultivate relationships with relevant local and regional influencers
• Coordinate event logistics and vendor/agency partners, ensuring on-brand execution
• Drive daily engagement and guest care across community channels, finding opportunities to surprise and delight fans
• Build local community relationships and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities
• Monitor content and channel performance, sharing business context and partnering on optimization recommendations
• Support franchisee-facing marketing initiatives as needed
• Concept, shoot, and edit original short-form video and photo content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
• Source and capture authentic restaurant stories, guest moments, and behind-the-scenes content on-site, often filmed and edited on mobile
• Stay ahead of platform trends, sounds, and formats, and quickly turn them into on-brand content
• Write captions, hooks, and copy that match each brand’s voice and each platform’s style
• Repurpose influencer, guest, and event content into ongoing social assets
• Be comfortable appearing on camera or narrating content when the moment calls for it (optional, but a plus
Requirements
• 3–5+ years in marketing, community management, or brand/experiential events (restaurant, hospitality, or franchise experience strongly preferred)
• Comfortable operating as both a strategic partner and a creative, hands-on planner
• Strong writer/communicator with an eye for authentic, local storytelling
• Highly organized — able to own a calendar and juggle multiple concurrent priorities
• Willing and able to attend and oversee events (including evenings/weekends as needed)
• Experience with social/community platforms, influencer relations, and basic performance reporting
The ideal candidate will reside in Dallas or Houston. This is a fully remote position, but employee must be available to meet locally for meetings and restaurant visits as well as occasional overnight travel.
