Social Media Manager, Henry Schein Dental
Why this role exists
Dentists scroll too. So do hygienists, dental assistants, office managers, and the next generation of dental students. We want Henry Schein Dental to be the brand they actually stop for.
We're looking for a social media manager who can own the day-to-day voice of U.S. Henry Schein Dental across every major platform. You'll set the strategy, make the content, talk with the community, and show us (with real numbers) what it's doing for the business.
You won't be doing it alone. You'll work hand in hand with our Corporate Communications team, who look after the Henry Schein brand, enterprise and customer storytelling, reputation, and executive voice. Think of it as two teams, one feed: you bring the energy and the cadence, they bring the big-picture brand perspective, and together you keep everything feeling like one company.
What you'll actually do
Build the game plan
- Own the organic social strategy for U.S. Henry Schein Dental: set the KPIs, size up the competition, and tie it all back to real business goals.
- Keep a pulse on platform changes, algorithm shifts and what audiences are responding to, and turn that into best practices (and recommendations to change them when the landscape moves).
- Line up with Corporate Communications on the big stuff: corporate brand, reputation, enterprise stories, advocacy, and executive voice.
Make the content
- Write, design, shoot and edit short social-first posts, graphics and short-form video yourself, while partnering with creative resources when the work calls for more specialized or higher-production support.
- Run the publishing cadence across Meta, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, and other social platforms when called for.
- Build and run a shared content calendar with Corporate Communications, so the voice, tone and look stay consistent everywhere.
- Use AI tools to speed up ideation, drafting, and workflow, without losing the human touch.
Grow the community
- Be in the comments, DMs and mentions, responding quickly and on brand alongside Corporate Communications and our campaign teams.
- Spot and celebrate the brand advocates who already love us.
- Find, manage, and measure influencer and brand ambassador partnerships, and know which ones are actually paying off.
Prove it works
- Track reach, engagement, follower growth and conversions, then turn the numbers into clear "here's what we should do next" recommendations.
- Use social listening tools to keep a read on brand sentiment and catch trends (or trouble) early.
- Partner with the Paid Media team so organic and paid work together across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms.
Keep it smart and safe
- Have the judgment to know when a post, comment or trend is more than it looks. When something has reputational, media, executive, employee, legal, regulatory or enterprise-wide implications, loop in Corporate Communications quickly.
- Run escalation protocols for sensitive interactions.
- Follow our social governance standards: account access and security, publishing permissions, approval workflows, records retention, and community guidelines.
- Team up with marketing, sales, creative, and Corporate Communications on integrated campaigns and company-wide initiatives.
You might be a fit if you...
- Know the platforms inside and out. You understand what works where, how content gets distributed, and how to spot the difference between a one-off hit post and something worth doing again.
- Know your toolkit. Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar for management; Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and TikTok Ads on the native side.
- Write like a human. Sharp, scroll-stopping copy is your thing. You're also handy in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar, and comfortable shooting and editing short-form video.
- Love a good dashboard. You're fluent in social analytics, Google Analytics and UTM tracking, you get social SEO, and you've used listening tools like Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, or Mention.
- See the bigger marketing picture. You understand paid media, content marketing and SEO, and you know your FTC disclosure rules and platform ad policies.
- Use AI as a teammate. You're comfortable using AI tools to brainstorm, draft and work smarter.
- Are a great collaborator. You build real relationships across teams and levels, can negotiate, handle conflict calmly, and aren't afraid to deliver a tough message.
- Can run the show. Strong planning and project management, independent decision-making, budget management, and the confidence to present your ideas to a room.
The details:
Experience
Typically 8+ years of growing responsibility; social media management or digital marketing experience preferred
Education
Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related field; industry certifications a plus
