“is” is a new kind of social content platform built around the concept of “Linked Micro-Content.” Instead of traditional posts or videos, users create short, expressive statements called “Isms” — small bursts of language and emotion that link together to form dynamic networks of thought, humor, news, and creativity. Role Overview
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager Intern to help grow awareness, engagement, and participation across the is.fun platform and our external social channels. This role is ideal for someone who lives online, understands internet culture, and wants hands-on experience managing social presence for an emerging creative platform. You’ll help shape how is.fun shows up socially, encourage Ism creation, and support community interaction through thoughtful, timely content.
Key Responsibilities
Help plan, create, and schedule social media posts across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
Engage with users, creators, and commenters to spark conversation and encourage participation.
Monitor trends, cultural moments, and platform-specific formats to inform content ideas.
Assist in developing content themes, challenges, and community-driven campaigns.
Track basic engagement metrics and help summarize what content resonates most.
Collaborate with content, design, and marketing teammates to align visuals and messaging.
Support moderation and feedback collection to surface insights from the community.
Qualifications
Coursework, internships, or personal projects related to social media, marketing, communications, or content creation.
Strong interest in social platforms, digital culture, and online communities.
Comfort writing short-form copy with attention to tone, timing, and audience.
Familiarity with major social platforms and how content performs differently across each.
Basic understanding of engagement metrics such as likes, shares, comments, and reach.
Reliable, organized, and comfortable learning in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Nice to Have
Experience managing a personal brand, meme page, or social account.
Basic photo or video editing skills for social content.
Interest in creator platforms, AI tools, or emerging media formats.

3. Attach an image or visual to your Ism to express it creatively.
4. Once published, copy the URL of your Ism.
5. Submit your application here, including the link to your published ism in the provided field.
