Social Media & Marketing Specialist — Sokoro

Sokoro is a Canadian startup connecting people who need help with everyday tasks with people in their community who can get them done.

We’re looking for an experienced marketing professional based in Pakistan to work remotely with our founding team and take ownership of our ongoing social media and marketing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a content calendar across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

• Create engaging reels, carousels, graphics and captions aligned with Sokoro’s brand.

• Plan and execute campaigns that drive awareness, app sign-ups and activity on the platform.

• Support our small-business interview series through content planning, editing and distribution.

• Coordinate outreach to creators, businesses and community partners.

• Monitor reach, engagement and conversions, and recommend improvements based on results.

• Maintain consistent publishing and contribute fresh campaign ideas.

What we’re looking for:

• Professional experience in digital marketing, social media management or content creation.

• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, copywriting and campaign execution.

• Strong written English and the ability to create content for Canadian audiences.

• Proficiency with Canva, CapCut or comparable design and editing tools.

• Experience using social media analytics to improve performance.

• Reliability, initiative and the ability to manage ongoing work independently.
