Software Automation Engineer

An established transport and infrastructure organisation is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. This role focuses on building and maintaining an independent testing environment to validate complex system integrations and services. You will work in a hands-on capacity to ensure that various technical components and interfaces function seamlessly within a modernised digital infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites for services and interfaces

• Automating API, integration, and regression tests to ensure system stability

• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establishing quality gates

• Creating mocks, stubs, and simulators to facilitate comprehensive testing scenarios

• Collaborating with architects and developers to translate requirements into automated tests

What we're looking for

• Proven hands-on experience in test automation or a similar technical role

• Extensive experience with modern test automation frameworks and scripting languages

• Strong background in API testing and end-to-end integration testing

• Experience executing automated tests within continuous integration pipelines

• Ability to analyse complex interface specifications and document technical frameworks
