As a design-led product and services company, we believe a solution is incomplete until it considers the end user. Working here puts you in touch with a growing, people-first and purpose-led team – collectively driven by delivering innovative solutions that protect people’s privacy without compromising on usability. A diversity of perspectives and knowledge shapes how we collaborate across multiple disciplines, including software developers, design, sales, product, and IT.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Software Developer, you will own features from design through delivery on our product roadmap, building software that is reliable, secure and maintainable. - Take on medium-sized, increasingly complex assignments and adjust as priorities shift
- Design for edge cases and failure modes, with meaningful logging and error handling
- Partner with product managers, designers and QA to refine requirements and turn them into working software
- Write and maintain automated tests and choose testing approaches that fit the risk
- Apply secure, maintainable coding practices and weigh scalability, performance and maintainability in your decisions
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and improvements to our processes and tooling
- Share progress and blockers early, and use AI-assisted development responsibly
- Lead by example and support other developers through pairing and guidance
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-Have
- 3+ years of professional experience in a production environment
- 2+ years of working experience and proficiency in Java/Spring/Hibernate or React/TypeScript, with working familiarity with the other
- Experience delivering features end to end in production
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools
- Solid object-oriented design and experience documenting technical design with OpenAPI/Swagger (UML a plus)
- Experience with relational databases, SQL and data modeling
- Experience writing automated tests (unit and integration) and working with QA processes
- Experience with Jira, Git (branching strategies and resolving merge conflicts) and CI/CD practices
- Experience in Agile and scrum methods, including sprint planning and estimation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong problem solving skills and experience debugging and resolving non-trivial technical problems
- Learns new technologies, tools and frameworks quickly
- Works independently and communicates proactively in a distributed team
Nice to Have
- Experience with Spring Security, OAuth/OIDC and JWT
- Knowledge of identity and authorization standards: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2, UMA 2.0
- Experience with MySQL, Postgres
- Familiarity with containers and deployment pipelines
