Full Stack Java Developer (Backend Focused) - Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Java Developer with a strong emphasis on backend technologies to join our fully remote team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust, scalable, and efficient web applications. You will play a key role in the entire development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and reliable Java code for our backend systems.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support our front-end applications and external integrations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver new features and enhancements.

• Develop and maintain both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.

• Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and application stability.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our development processes and application architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).

• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful web services.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, along with modern frameworks like React or Angular.

• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
