Seeking Experienced Software Development Advisors (L3) for Remote Projects in Mexico We are looking for an experienced Software Development Advisor (L3) with at least 3 years of experience in production support, incident management, application troubleshooting, and code-level debugging. This role is ideal for professionals who are comfortable working with Java or Python , Linux environments, CI/CD technologies, and complex production issues. Key Responsibilities: Provide L3 support for complex production issues, including deep analysis, debugging, code-level fixes, and end-to-end validation. Investigate incidents and drive resolution with internal stakeholders and engineering teams. Act as an escalation point for complex support issues. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions. Manage the incident lifecycle, including escalation, communication, tracking, and post-resolution activities. Ensure SLA/SLO commitments are met and reduce recurring incidents. Support SDLC operations, including compilation, builds, artifact management, and software distribution. Troubleshoot and maintain CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and build systems. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. Support Linux-based infrastructure and automate repetitive operational tasks. Use scripting with Python, Java, Shell, or Perl for automation. Work with configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Perform log analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization using tools such as Splunk. Work with relational databases and SQL queries. Create technical documentation, runbooks, and code snippets for internal teams and clients. Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues and leverage AI tooling. Technical Skills Required: 3+ years of experience in Software Development / Production Support. Strong coding and debugging skills in Java or Python . Experience with Linux environments. Experience in L3 Production Support and Incident Management. Strong knowledge of SDLC . Experience with Git, GitLab, SVN, CVS, Maven, Docker, and Jenkins . Experience with CI/CD pipelines . Knowledge of Kubernetes . Experience with Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, or Sybase . Strong SQL knowledge. Experience with application servers/middleware such as Apache and Tomcat . Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Autosys or CRON . Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet . React experience is considered an advantage. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced English. Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proactive attitude and willingness to automate and improve recurring support processes. Ability to work in a support environment with shifts, including bank holidays. Strong communication, empathy, commitment, and leadership skills. Location & Schedule: Remote position within Mexico. Preferred candidates located in Mexico City or Guadalajara . Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 . Remote model; hybrid availability is preferred, with expected onsite attendance of 1 day per week in Mexico City or Guadalajara. Project duration: 32 months .
