The Software Development Engineer [Industrial Robotics] develops, tests and deploys advanced robotic systems. The role supports the brewery of the future by delivering physical robotics solutions, robot data integration and high-tech automation on the shop floor. The role drives excellence across the robotics and software development lifecycle, with a focus on ROS, ROS 2, DevSecOps, observability, automation, performance, resilience and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities would include:

• deploying and commissioning advanced general-purpose robotics and mission-critical robotized systems in breweries and labs

• leading or contributing to PoC activities to test and validate scalable robotics use cases with breweries, suppliers and global teams

• developing and maintaining robot data ingestion from different platforms into the central IIoT data layer together with IT architects

• working with robotics suppliers to improve, maintain and evolve deployed products and integration patterns

• collaborating with universities and research institutes to create experiments, prototypes and engineering learning loops

• travelling to breweries in Poland, worldwide or European Union locations to support troubleshooting, commissioning and deployment activities

• applying software engineering practices across ROS / ROS 2, Python, APIs, observability, testing and secure delivery

• working in Scrum and Agile ways of working with Jira, suppliers and multiple reporting teams.

You are a good candidate if you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or related field

• practical knowledge of ROS, ROS 2 , OOP, APIs, networking, modular architecture, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, robot navigation, planning, decision-making and fleet management

• Python or similar programming language, REST, gRPC, asynchronous integration patterns, observability, logs, metrics, dashboards and robot safety standards

• understanding of robot navigation, planning, decision-making, robot perception such as LiDAR, computer vision and robot safety standards

• 4+ years of experience as a software development engineer and/or in a robotics deployment role

• hands-on experience with mechatronics and software development

• experience deploying, commissioning or maintaining robots in operational environments with multidisciplinary teams

• willingness to travel to deployments in Poland, European Union locations and occasionally worldwide

• excellent English.

• Azure, AWS, GCP, databases, SQL, Jira, GitHub Enterprise, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps, authentication/authorization, automated testing and cloud security

• OT shopfloor data, PLCs, fleet management, MES, WMS, AI, ML, RL, DL, imitation learning and technology selection for fixed robots, cobots, AMRs, AGVs, mobile manipulators, drones and legged robots.
