At Zillow, you’ll have the rare chance to shape the most significant moments of people’s lives - redefining how they buy, sell, rent, and finance homes.

For bold and hardworking people who thrive in an environment always in motion, Zillow is the place to advance your career, our company, and even an industry. We align our actions to our values and keep our consumers at the heart of every decision.

Here, you’ll be part of a team with a proven history of leadership and innovation that encourages new insights and gives you the keys to move them forward. Join us as we make our next big move, crafting a truly seamless real estate transaction experience for our consumers.

About the role

At Zillow, interns do meaningful work that contributes to the business from day one. Our nine-week summer internship program, running June through August, gives students the opportunity to bring their ideas and perspectives to real projects alongside Zillow teams.

Interns build hands-on experience, connect with mentors and leaders, and take part in learning and community experiences with their intern cohort. Our 2027 internships are based in Seattle and follow a hybrid schedule, with interns generally working together in person Tuesday through Thursday. Eligible interns may receive a stipend to help offset summer housing relocation costs.

As a Software Development Engineer Intern at Zillow Group, you will partner with people who are passionate about our product. Through mentoring from fellow developers, you will gain tremendous experience in multiple functional areas, setting the stage for a well-rounded computer science career. Work on real problems and ship your code.

  • Work at one of our highly rated brands, enjoying the best of both worlds between a large company (stability) and a small startup (growth potential and impact)
  • Opportunity to own and tackle sophisticated problems
  • Work with highly accomplished teammates and craft your own path to achieving your career goals
  • Competitive pay and benefits like: health benefits, intern-only events, speaker series, exposure to senior leadership, and many more
