At Quickbase, we help organizations build better ways to run their operations. Our products give teams the flexibility to create applications around how their work actually happens, connecting people, information, and processes so they can keep work moving as needs change. For more than 25 years, organizations have turned to Quickbase to solve operational challenges that off-the-shelf software wasn't built for. Today, we’re building on that foundation with new products and new possibilities for how people create, adapt, and improve the systems their work depends on. Working at Quickbase means helping find better ways forward. We’re a team of curious, collaborative people who care about solving problems, learning as we go, and building things that make work better for our customers and each other. We're looking for a Software Engineer I to join our team supporting Quickbase's marketing website, built on Payload CMS . This is a hands-on engineering role for someone early in their career who is dedicated, coachable, and thoughtful — someone who wants to build strong technical fundamentals while working in a modern, AI-augmented development environment. You'll work closely with senior engineers on feature development, contribute to code quality through testing and review, and partner directly with our content team to support day-to-day CMS operations like publishing, content structuring, and troubleshooting. What You'll Do Build and ship features for our marketing website, including active initiatives like the Payload CMS platform work Participate in code review, sprint planning, and team rituals Work directly with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot) as a core part of your daily workflow — not an optional add-on Partner with the content team to support CMS-based publishing and troubleshooting Grow from close mentorship and guidance into more independent ownership over time Technical Skills Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, with practical experience building UI components in React Familiarity with headless CMS architecture (e.g. Payload CMS, Contentful, Sanity, or similar) — understanding how content models, fields, and blocks connect to a front end Working knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL APIs, including consuming and debugging API responses Comfort with Git and standard version control workflows (branching, pull requests, code review) Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive web design principles Familiarity with, or genuine interest in, AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of daily workflow Basic understanding of web performance and accessibility fundamentals is a plus, but not required at this level How We Think About AI At Quickbase, we view AI as a tool to accelerate how work gets done — not replace it. We encourage thoughtful use of AI to improve speed, quality, and decision-making, while maintaining strong judgment, accountability, and data integrity. Benefits Unlimited remote work policy 25 days of annual leave, 2 additional days off for volunteering Competitive remuneration package incl. an annual bonus Top-notch IT setup. Mental health support, life insurance, food vouchers Additional health insurance - for you and your loved ones Annual wellness support allowance External Professional Learning Opportunities Equal Opportunity Statement Quickbase is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply – even if you don’t meet every qualification listed. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
