Your Team We're looking for a talented Developer to join our growing team in Makati City, Philippines. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, business analysts, and support managers in a collaborative, agile environment where innovation and quality are paramount. You'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain robust solutions while continuously improving your technical skill set and contributing to meaningful projects that impact our customers globally. Your key tasks Perform product maintenance by ensuring timely delivery of workarounds and permanent resolutions in accordance with established SLAs Design and develop scalable, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and architectural standards Write comprehensive solution designs for new features and participate in code reviews with technical leads Participate in client workshops and requirements analysis sessions to understand business needs Document code and technical solutions clearly for team knowledge sharing Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours to meet operational and business needs (e.g. shifting, minimal on-call night support, reasonable overtime) Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software development or a related engineering role Strong programming knowledge with proficiency in one or more languages (PL/SQL or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to complex technical challenges Experience working in agile or waterfall environments and familiarity with the respective methodologies Excellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in team settings It would be a real bonus if you have University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline Experience in the financial services industry or treasury/payments domain Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as FIX protocol, SWIFT MT, or ISO 20022 Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope We realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.
