Software Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) Base Salary: $185,000/year + benefits + equity opportunities About the Role: We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team in San Francisco. In this role, you’ll build scalable, user-focused products that power our core platform. You’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to design systems that are clean, reliable, and forward-thinking. This isn’t just another ticket-pushing job. We’re looking for engineers who think like product owners: curious, thoughtful, and always questioning how things could be better. What You’ll Do: • Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services and intuitive frontend experiences • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews • Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new features • Identify and drive improvements to our engineering practices and infrastructure • Help shape the engineering culture of a growing company What We’re Looking For: • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong proficiency in at least one of these: Python, Go, Java, Node.js, TypeScript • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Svelte) • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • An ownership mindset: you don’t just solve problems — you identify them and fix them • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment Bonus Points If You Have: • Experience with microservices architecture • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code • Prior startup or high-growth environment experience • Contributions to open source projects Compensation & Benefits: • $185,000 base salary • Generous equity package • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Commuter benefits • Professional development stipend • Hybrid work flexibility (3 days onsite minimum) About Us: We’re a venture-backed startup in San Francisco.
