Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and managing software pipelines for reproducible testing environments.
- Ability to understand, navigate, and modify complex, real-world codebases locally.
- Familiarity with Ruby testing frameworks like RSpec and Minitest, as well as gem management tools such as Bundler.
- Knowledge of code quality tools and practices to ensure maintainability and robustness of software.
- Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is advantageous.
- Analyze and triage issues from trending open-source repositories on GitHub to identify suitable evaluation scenarios for LLM testing.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including environment preparation and Docker containerization, to facilitate reproducible testing conditions.
- Evaluate unit test coverage, code quality metrics, and overall health of codebases to establish baseline performance and robustness.
- Modify, run, and debug Ruby codebases locally to assess the performance of LLMs in bug fixing and code completion tasks.
- Collaborate with AI researchers to design experiments, select repositories, and curate issues that challenge and improve LLM capabilities.
- Document findings, maintain testing pipelines, and contribute to the continuous improvement of evaluation methodologies.
