Software Engineer

Technical Maintenance Developer — Remote

Compensation: $2,500/month

We’re looking for a strong, self-directed developer to take care of the ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of our existing technical systems.

This is not a product-building role. We already have systems, automations, integrations and internal software in place. Your job is to make sure they continue to work properly.

What you'll do

You’ll receive technical problems as they come up and be expected to independently:

• Investigate and diagnose issues
• Fix bugs and broken functionality
• Debug existing code and systems
• Maintain n8n workflows and automations
• Troubleshoot APIs and integrations
• Investigate data issues between systems
• Fix issues with internal dashboards/software
• Identify the root cause of recurring problems
• Test fixes and make sure they don't create new problems

A typical task might be:

"This workflow was working yesterday, but it's no longer passing the correct data. Can you figure out why?"

We expect you to investigate, identify the cause and fix it without needing someone to tell you exactly what to do.

Who we're looking for

The most important thing is problem-solving ability and independence.

You should be someone who:

• Can troubleshoot unfamiliar systems
• Knows how to investigate rather than guess
• Can work with APIs, databases and integrations
• Has experience with automation tools such as n8n
• Can read and modify existing code
• Is comfortable figuring things out independently
• Takes ownership of an issue until it is properly resolved

You don't need to know every technology we use. You do need to know how to figure things out.

What this role is NOT

This is not:

• A product-building role
• A creative development role
• A role where you'll receive constant technical direction
• A role where you'll simply be given tickets with step-by-step instructions

This is a technical maintenance role.

The goal is simple:

Something breaks → you investigate → you find the cause → you fix it → you test it → it's working again.

Working arrangement

Remote / Overseas

$2,500/month

There will be an initial 2–4 week onboarding period to learn our systems. After that, we expect you to work with a high level of independence and require minimal direction from the founders.

Application

The application includes a short technical assessment designed to test how you think through technical problems, rather than just your ability to list technologies on a CV.

AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot should not be used for the assessment.
