Software Engineer Your responsibilities as a Software Engineer As a Software Engineer at Eoliann, you will contribute to Airis, the company's climate risk management platform, working in particular on the new module dedicated to electricity providers and distributors, while growing across the stack from code to cloud. About Eoliann Eoliann is a climate tech company working to reduce the economic impact of extreme weather events, which have grown by 345% over the past 50 years due to urbanization and climate change, with aggregate losses estimated at $5.2 trillion. The team builds Airis, the risk management platform that combines technology and scientific research to predict the impact and probability of these events better than anyone else. The company works fully remote, with its main office in Turin at OGR. What you wil do Product development Contribute to Airis, the company's web-based risk management platform, in particular the new module for electricity providers and distributors. Work on APIs, data flows, DevOps, and gradually MLOps. Write production-grade Python code, with a focus on testability, maintainability, and performance (TDD). Take part in code reviews and help define coding standards and best practices. Cloud & DevOps Work in a cloud environment, deploying via Terraform and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS). Collaboration & AI-assisted development Pair-program with the team, including with the support of AI coding agents (which the team uses actively and critically), sharing insights on architecture and DevOps practices. Cross-functional contributions Contribute to features that require a frontend touch (React). Over time, support the Data Science team on climate data models and pipelines. Must Have 4+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in Python (standard libraries, data structures, API development). Experience with cloud native applications on AWS, with familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform): you don't need to be an expert, but a Terraform file shouldn't scare you. Practical knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, AWS) and containerized development. Comfortable using AI coding agents as a development aid, critically and consciously. Nice to Have Frontend experience (React and Tailwind). Experience with ML technologies (frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or serving tools like MLflow, ONNX). Experience with geospatial data (Zarr, xarray, GDAL, rasterio, NetCDF). Prior involvement in setting up SRE/DevSecOps processes.
