# SOFTWARE ENGINEER — HEALTHCARE WORKFLOW AUTOMATION


## About the Role


CISTEC develops and operates **KISIM**, one of Switzerland's leading clinical information systems. KISIM supports healthcare professionals across hospitals, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and other clinical environments.


As a **Software Engineer**, you will be responsible for the technical implementation of modeled clinical and administrative processes as executable automations. You will help build and continuously develop the technical automation layer between process modeling and operational execution within KISIM.


Your work will focus on reliable, scalable, and monitored automated workflows, with close collaboration across Business Analysis, Product Management, and Technology. You will contribute to the digitalization of end-to-end healthcare processes and help create software that improves the daily work of healthcare professionals.


## Key Responsibilities


* Implement modeled clinical and administrative processes as executable automations.

* Build and further develop the technical automation layer between process modeling and operational execution in KISIM.

* Ensure the stability, scalability, monitoring, and error handling of automated workflows in production.

* Analyze, debug, and continuously optimize existing integrations and automations.

* Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Management, and the Tech Lead.

* Contribute to the end-to-end digitalization of clinical and administrative processes.

* Develop solutions that create practical value for healthcare professionals and clinical environments.


## Required Qualifications


* Completed degree in **Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Software Engineering**, or an equivalent qualification combined with relevant professional experience.

* Experience in **software development or system integration**.

* Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work in a modern, agile technology environment.


## Preferred Qualifications


* Experience in the **healthcare sector**.

* Understanding of workflow or process modeling, such as **BPMN, DMN, or CMMN**.

* Experience with clinical standards such as **HL7 or FHIR**.

* Experience with **API design and integration technologies**, including REST, messaging, or event-based architectures.
