Responsibilities
Empower AI is seeking an Integration Developer to design and build the integrations that connect the enterprise ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow) of a Department of War agency to the systems around it: Active Directory and identity orchestration for Tier 0 password reset and account unlock, MECM/SCCM and endpoint management, monitoring and event sources, collaboration platforms, mobile device management, survey tools, and the Power BI Customer Support Metrics Dashboard. The developer analyzes integration requirements and data flows, engineers secure, resilient integrations using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and scripted interfaces, tests and demonstrates them for Government acceptance, and delivers compliant packages to the platform owner. This is a salaried, FLSA-exempt position in which you will independently analyze situations, determine the appropriate course of action, and exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance to the program and its customers.
THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE BASED IN QUANTICO, VA (RKB) WITH REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY AND UP TO 10% OF TRAVEL INVOLVED.
JOB DUTIES:
- Analyze integration requirements and data flows between the ITSM platform and enterprise systems (Active Directory/identity orchestration, MECM/SCCM, monitoring/event sources, Microsoft 365, MDM, survey tools, Power BI), and design secure, resilient integration architectures.
- Develop, test, and maintain integrations using ServiceNow IntegrationHub spokes and flows, scripted REST/SOAP APIs, import sets and transform maps, MID Server configurations, and authentication (OAuth, certificates) consistent with Federal security requirements.
- Engineer the integrations that power AI-enabled Tier 0 self-service (Active Directory orchestration for password reset/unlock, status checks) and the data feeds that keep the Customer Support Metrics Dashboard refreshed no less than daily.
- Monitor integration health, analyze failures to root cause, document interface specifications and data lineage, and support RMF evidence for interconnections.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications, modules, and workflows on the ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow), including forms, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, Flow Designer flows, scripted REST APIs, and integrations, in accordance with the Government-prioritized backlog.
- Implement and sustain the enterprise ticket lifecycle workflows, including the Customer-Confirmed Ticket Closure process ("Resolved - Awaiting Customer Confirmation" status, automated notifications, Confirm and Close / Reopen actions, and automatic closure after three business days) across incident and request management for all tiers.
- Develop and maintain a user-friendly Service Catalog with automated request fulfillment workflows, and support the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) through discovery, integrations, and data quality rules as directed.
- Lead sprint-level development: refine and estimate backlog items, mutually agree sprint scope with the Government, conduct internal quality assurance, deliver the Demonstration of Completed Work, support UAT, and obtain documented stakeholder acceptance before closing development tasks.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience (a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience, or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree, may be substituted).

- Must possess and maintain a current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, or SSCP) prior to performing cybersecurity-related duties
- Must be willing and able to obtain Top Secret eligibility after start, if required by mission needs.
- Must be within investigation scope and/or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation / Continuous Vetting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze problems, determine the appropriate course of action, and exercise discretion and independent judgment with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Minimum of 10 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years developing on ServiceNow or an equivalent enterprise ITSM platform.
- Expert proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript server- and client-side), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and CMDB, and experience with update set/application lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating the ITSM platform with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP/Active Directory, and event/monitoring sources.
- Experience delivering in an Agile framework with sprint demonstrations, UAT, and formal stakeholder acceptance, including working within a platform-owner-controlled deployment model.
- Experience applying secure coding standards and Federal security requirements to application development.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers and producing technical design documentation.
- Strong communication skills, including demonstrating solutions to Government stakeholders.
