✈️ We’re expanding R&D – two developers, two different tech profiles, one team
Linux / Ansible / Backend Developer & C# Backend Developer – Software Design & Architecture
Horsens, Denmark · Recruitment handled by We Compare on behalf of Insero Air Traffic Solutions A/S
Insero Air Traffic Solutions is growing and so is their R&D team.
Today, Insero ATS consists of 23 employees, and they are now looking for two new colleagues to join the R&D team led by Mads Møller Grønfeldt.
The team works primarily with new development within Insero’s AVI product area, developing technology and solutions for the international aviation and Air Traffic Management industry.
Now they are strengthening the team with two different technical profiles:
- One with its main strength in Linux, Ansible, configuration, deployment and platform technologies.
- One with its main strength in C# backend development, software design and architecture.
You are not expected to be both.
What the two roles have in common is a passion for developing new solutions, a high level of quality-consciousness and the desire to work with technology that needs to perform reliably – every time.
_____________________________________________________________________________
1. Linux / Ansible / Backend Developer
If Linux, automation and platforms are where you are at your best, this might be your role.
Your primary focus will be new development around the Linux-based platform, configuration and automated deployment.
Depending on your background, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to C# backend development.
You will:
- Work hands-on with Linux configuration and deployment, primarily in RHEL-based environments.
- Develop configuration and deployment automation using Ansible.
- Work with containers and platform technologies.
- Develop and improve automated deployment processes.
- Help develop the technical platform behind future AVI solutions.
- Research and evaluate new technologies for future products and solutions.
- Work closely with the software developers in R&D across platform and software.
We expect you to have solid hands-on experience with Linux and Ansible or similar automation technologies and a broad technical understanding across configuration, deployment and platforms.
Experience with C# backend development is an advantage, but your primary strength should be Linux, Ansible and platform development.

2. C# Backend Developer – Software Design & Architecture
If C# backend development is your strength and you also enjoy thinking about how software should be designed, structured and built for the future... this could be your role.
Your primary focus will be new C# backend development combined with software design and architecture.
You will:
- Design and develop new backend software in C#.
- Take an active role in software design and architectural decisions.
- Develop multi-platform microservices and container-based solutions.
- Help define how new solutions should be structured, built and integrated.
- Ensure consistently high code quality and develop reliable, maintainable products.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for future products and solutions.
- Participate throughout the development process – from clarification and design to development and delivery.
- Have genuine influence on both the technical solutions and the continued development of your own role.
Being quality-conscious is essential. You care about what you build, how you build it and whether the solution will still make sense tomorrow.
Experience with automated testing is a plus.
What we look for in both profiles
You do not need previous experience from aviation. Insero ATS can teach you the domain.
What matters is that you are technically strong, curious and motivated by developing new solutions in an environment where reliability, security and quality really matter.
We expect that you:
- Have a relevant degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering or similar.
- Have a broad technical understanding and curiosity beyond your own specialist area.
- Are highly quality-conscious – this is essential.
- Work in a structured and analytical way.
- Speak and write Danish and English at a proficient level.
- Enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to technical decisions.
Depending on your profile, experience with automated testing and deployment, Docker / Podman, microservices, Apache Kafka or other messaging platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, cybersecurity/ hardening and AI-assisted development will be an advantage.
23 colleagues and remarkably few people leave
Technology matters at Insero ATS. But so do the people you build it with.
With 23 colleagues, Insero ATS is still a company where people know each other, where your contribution is visible and where the distance from an idea to a decision is short.
There is a genuinely strong sense of community and a culture characterised by trust, professionalism and a large portion of good old-fashioned decency.
Perhaps one of the best indications of the culture is simply this: very few people choose to leave.
There are plenty of social activities – nerd and gaming nights, Friday bars, weekly team breakfasts, summer parties, Bering-stafetten, Christmas parties and more.
But the culture is about much more than events.
It is about helping each other, taking responsibility, being good at what you do – and treating people properly.
A small R&D environment with real influence
Both positions are new roles, and you will join an R&D environment where the distance from idea to implementation is short.
You will not simply be handed a finished specification and asked to execute it.
Depending on your competencies and interests, you will have the opportunity to influence your role, contribute to technical choices and take part in shaping the future products and solutions within Insero’s AVI area.
That also means being curious about new technology. Insero ATS continuously evaluates new tools and technologies – including how AI can support and improve software development.
What Insero ATS offers
- A role where new development is at the core.
- Real influence on future products, technologies and technical decisions.
- A specialised R&D environment with skilled and passionate colleagues.
- A strong culture, genuine community spirit and very low employee turnover.
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working – expected onsite minimum 4 days per week.
- Competitive salary, pension scheme and bonus programme linked to company results.
- Modern offices on the 14th floor at Campus Horsens, directly next to the train and bus terminal.
- Healthy canteen, medical insurance, free fruit and weekly team breakfast.
- Plenty of professional and social activities throughout the year.
- An international environment developing technology for a highly specialised industry.
Security clearance
For both positions, you must be able to obtain the required security clearance.
This means having a clean criminal record and that you/your household must have resided in a NATO or EU country for the past seven years.
Which profile are you?
Maybe Linux, Ansible, automation and platform technologies are where you are at your best.
Or maybe C#, backend development, software design and architecture are what make you tick.
You do not need to fit both profiles.
Insero ATS is looking for two new colleagues with different technical strengths who can complement each other and the existing R&D team.
