Senior Software Engineer, AI | Build the AI assistant inside a live trading platform

Remote within Poland (Warsaw or Wrocław) | Permanent UoP | Up to PLN 21,200 gross per month

The opportunity

An established software consultancy with offices in Warsaw and Wrocław is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI team of a fast-growing US fintech. You’ll be employed directly by the consultancy on a permanent UoP contract and embedded with the client long term.

The client’s trading platform runs in the browser and as a desktop app, giving hedge funds and professional traders live risk, P&L, analytics and order execution. Teams are small, highly skilled and autonomous, working in one monorepo with daily releases.

The role

You’ll build the AI assistant that lets traders set up orders and build dashboards in plain language, safely: it never places a trade without the user confirming. The product is still taking shape, so your decisions will set the direction. Just as important is knowing when a problem is better solved with conventional engineering than with AI.

What you’ll be doing

• Choosing and integrating models and vendors through AWS Bedrock, including understanding their cost

• Building RAG and knowledge retrieval

• Building AI agents, tool orchestration and MCP integrations with the trading platform

• Owning evaluation and observability, so the team knows the assistant is right, safe and affordable

• Building and running the Java and Spring backend services the assistant depends on

• Owning production issues from detection to resolution and post-mortem

What you’ll need

• Senior experience building and running distributed, scalable, cloud-hosted systems in production

• AI capabilities built into a production system real users rely on, not just demos or prototypes

• A strong understanding of foundation models, vendors, MCP, RAG, agents and evaluation, and the trade-offs between them

• Strong system design fundamentals, and the ability to explain your choices

• Heavy, effective use of AI tools in your own day-to-day engineering

• Fluent spoken English

• Based in or near Warsaw or Wrocław, with full right to work in Poland

Nice to have

AWS Bedrock · Java and Spring · TypeScript and React · AI evaluation and observability at scale · financial services or trading experience. Strong Python engineers with the right AI and systems background will also be considered.
