Software Engineer

We are hiring for a remote-first AI company, looking for a Software/Forward Deployed Engineer to join its core engineering team. In this role, you will build and harden an AI-driven automation platform while working directly with enterprise operations and IT teams on custom integrations and live deployments.

The role

• This isn't a typical Forward Deployed Engineer role. You'll be a core member of their engineering team, building and hardening the platform our AI voice operators run on, and you'll also work directly with our customers, so what you build is shaped by how ARCs actually operate.
• Backend and integrations: you build services and APIs in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, with webhooks, third-party integrations and relational databases (e.g. Postgres)
• You don't need to have worked as a Forward Deployed Engineer before. If you're a strong software engineer who wants to see what you build in customers' hands, you'll do well here.
• One week you might be on a call with an ARC's operations team, working out why an agent stumbles on a particular verification step. The next, you could be building an integration with a customer's alarm monitoring software, or taking a new idea from prototype to production.
• Most of our implementation is done with AI coding agents. We're looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals who can direct those agents with confidence: break a problem down well, review the output carefully, and know when something looks right but isn't.
• You'll report to the Lead Developer and work closely with our CTO and cloud team.
