Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Join CDW’s Service Agent team to build fast, accessible web applications used by customers and internal teams at scale. You’ll shape front-end architecture and ship features that improve reliability, performance, and conversion. What you will do:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of React features from design review to production and measurement.
• Own front-end architecture to improve performance, maintainability, and DX.
• Implement accessible UI with React and custom components.
• Collaborate with design & product to deliver polished, consistent experiences.
• Integrate cleanly with APIs, define contracts, and handle auth, state, and error flows.
• Uphold code quality via reviews, linting, type safety, and CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to design system patterns and reusable components.
• Raise observability with client-side logging, Datadog, and experiment flags for safe rollout.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g.: GitHub Copilot) to accelerate scaffolding, tests, and refactors but always reviewing AI output for correctness, security, and performance.

What we expect of you:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering with 3+ years in software engineering, OR 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in React.
• Deep RxJS proficiency (streams, multicasting, error handling, performance).
• Strong testing practice.
• API integration with REST; robust error and state management.
• Clear documentation and technical communication for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development.
• Responsible AI usage: follow security and privacy guidelines (no secrets/PPI in prompts), avoid license-restricted code, and ensure tests and reviews of AI-generated changes.
• Security awareness, a plus.

Pay range: $83,000 - $115,000 CAD depending on experience and skill set
