Software Engineer (4-6 Years Experience)

At Lighthouz, we’re not just streamlining freight finance—we’re rebuilding it from the ground up. --- Role Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer with 4–6 years of experience who enjoys building high-quality software in a startup environment. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to design, build, and scale core platform features. If you are a quick learner, write clean code, and thrive in ambiguity, you’ll fit right in. --- Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable software across frontend and backend Develop frontend applications using Next.js Build backend services and APIs using Go (Golang) and/or Python Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ship features fast Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices Take ownership of features from concept to production Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and requirements --- Required Skills & Experience 4-6 years of professional software development experience Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and Next.js Experience with Golang and/or Python (preference for candidates comfortable with both) Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend services, and databases Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design Ability to write clean, readable, and efficient code Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset --- Preferred Qualifications Experience building B2B SaaS products Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines Experience with modern databases (Postgres, MongoDB, etc.) Prior experience scaling systems or working on performance-critical paths Prior experience working in a startup
