Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

Docusign's Mobile Engineering team is looking for a passionate Android Software Engineer (P3) to help bring our Intelligent Agreement Management platform to life on Android devices. Docusign is redefining how the world handles agreements, moving beyond e-signatures to a platform that makes agreements smarter, faster, and more connected across the entire agreement lifecycle.

Our team's charter is twofold: to support the complex, high-volume use cases of our enterprise customers while maintaining the world-class usability and polish that consumers expect from top Google Play Store apps. As a P3 engineer, you will own feature development end-to-end, from architectural design to unit testing and release. You bring a strong product-focused mindset, care deeply about user experience, and enjoy solving complex technical challenges in Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, polished native Android applications and features using Kotlin

  • Write scalable, reusable, and maintainable code adhering to modern Android architectural patterns (such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Jetpack components)

  • Maintain high code coverage by writing robust unit, UI, and integration tests for every feature to ensure platform stability

  • Partner closely with Product Management, UI/UX Designers, and QA to translate product requirements into intuitive Android user experiences

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and backend platform teams to translate product requirements into robust iOS solutions

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, perform meaningful code reviews, and contribute to continuous team process improvements

  • Stay up to date with the latest Android SDK capabilities, Material Design guidelines, and Google Play Store policies

  • Help represent Docusign in the Android developer community through tech sharing, blog posts, or conference engagement

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. What you bring

Basic

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of overall software product development experience

  • 3+ years specifically writing native Android applications in Kotlin backed by enterprise cloud or SaaS services

  • Demonstrated experience publishing and supporting production apps in the Google Play Store

  • Hands-on experience with the complete Android lifecycle (Git, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Play Console)

  • Experience delivering software iteratively in an Agile/Scrum environment

Preferred

  • Strong proficiency in modern Kotlin paradigms (such as Coroutines and Flow) and deep familiarity with Jetpack Compose

  • Experience building modular Android SDKs or reusable libraries for internal or external developers

  • Familiarity with Java for maintaining and modernizing legacy Android codebases

  • Exposure to mobile security standards, including data encryption, secure storage, and OAuth/SSO

  • Active personal app projects, open-source contributions, or a passion for UI/UX design and Material Design guidelines
