Backed by the largest Private Equity firms in the world – Blackstone Growth and Francisco Partners, Dynamo is seeking to grow our team based on rapidly increasing demand for our financial technology solutions.

We are hiring a Software Engineer for one of our key FinTech product teams. In this role, you will help build business-critical solutions for alternative investment managers across the full investment lifecycle. It is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, quickly understands business concepts, and is motivated to use modern AI-assisted development practices to deliver high-quality software.

Your daily life:

  • Building features in the calculation engine and core accounting logic: the code that turns fund transactions into positions, ownership, gains and losses, general-ledger entries, and performance figures such as IRR and returns.
  • Turning business requirements into precise, well-tested logic, working with product owners, project managers, and accounting experts on what a number should be, as well as on estimates and priorities.
  • Proving the numbers are right: automated tests that pin down calculation results and the edge cases that break them, such as currency conversion, rounding, missing values, and back-dated transactions.
  • Keeping calculations fast and memory-efficient on large client datasets, with an eye on SQL Server performance.
  • Triaging and fixing complex production issues, often a client reporting a figure that doesn't look right, and tracing it through the data and the logic to the root cause.
  • Working day to day with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, which write a large share of the code. You validate, refine, and test what they produce.
  • Building AI agents and agent-based workflows that improve the product and how we work.
  • Taking part in the high-level design of the most complex features.

Our stack: C# and .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and MSTest, with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as everyday tools.

What you bring:

  • Experience: 4+ years designing and building software in C# and .NET.
  • SQL: Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills: complex queries, set-based logic, and finding out why a query is slow.
  • AI-assisted development: Regular, hands-on use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar) on real tasks, and the judgment to review, test, and correct what they produce.
  • Business logic: Experience turning business requirements into working software, ideally in a numbers-heavy domain such as finance, accounting, billing, or insurance. You pick up a new business domain quickly.
  • Testing: Automated testing is part of how you work. You write unit and integration tests and have a clear idea of what needs covering.
  • Design: Solid object-oriented design and design patterns, and an understanding of concurrency.
  • Problem solving: Strong analytical skills and the patience to follow a hard production problem through to the root cause.
  • Ownership: Proactive and able to work independently, with a drive to keep improving how things are done.
  • Communication: Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to talk through a requirement with a non-technical colleague.
  • Domain knowledge (a plus): Partnership accounting for alternative investment funds, fund or general-ledger accounting, or financial maths such as IRR and time-weighted returns.

What we offer:

  • The ability to have an impact. Good ideas come from everyone in our organization, and we are agile enough to embrace new ideas and directions.
  • The opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the rapidly growing financial services and alternative assets industry.
  • A very attractive work culture in an established technology company where we take pride in our work and our people.
  • A flexible work environment with opportunities for hybrid work or flexible hours.
  • Professional development opportunities, including learning and development initiatives covered by the company.
  • Extended health insurance program for you and your family.
  • Flexible benefits program with plenty of options to choose from.
  • Events and team-building activities.
