Do you have an interest in Platform development, within an important and evolving platform, used across the bank? We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our development of the Pega platform in Swedbank

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, test, analyze and maintain the Pega platform that support several of the bank's core processes

  • Work together with other developers in agile teams to enable new features and improvements with high quality

  • Build and evolve robust, scalable solutions based on Pega best practices and the bank's architectural principles

  • Work proactively, anticipating our users’ needs and deliver on them.

What is needed in this role:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent competence acquired in another way

  • Solid experience in pega and/or platform development, with a track record of building, configuring, and maintaining large-scale platform solutions

  • An understanding of platform architecture, including how to balance configuration, extensibility, and long-term maintainability

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management in a platform context

  • Having experience from other parts of IT is a meriting in this recruitment. We are looking for a generalist rather than a Pega expert. Java knowledge is needed to some extent.

  • Experience of working with vendor-delivered platforms and adapting them to organizational needs

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems

With us, you can experience:

  • Personal and professional growth through self-leadership and continuous development.

  • Meaningful work that positively impacts our workplace, our customers, and society.

  • An open and collaborative culture that encourages cross-functional teamwork and provides networking opportunities.

  • A supportive and inclusive environment that promotes a balanced and sustainable work-life, with flexible working conditions when suitable for the role.

  • Enjoy country-specific benefits, including banking offers, a pension plan, our share-based reward program, health insurance in the Baltics and a health allowance in Sweden.

"Join our team and...

become part of the exciting journey we've started. Our platform, offering, and organization are evolving, which means there's plenty of room for us to shape what comes next, together. As a manager, I believe in transparency, a strong team spirit, and a caring environment built around a common goal." -John Karlsson, your future manager

We look forward to receiving your application by 11.11.2026.
