Insurity’s Next Software Engineer II
The Software Engineer II owns development items and bug fixes from design through delivery, working with limited supervision and applying sound engineering practices across coding, unit testing, documentation, impact assessment, and troubleshooting. This role partners with QA and cross-functional teammates to develop solutions for simple to moderately complex problems, contribute to use-case development, and support reliable, maintainable software for Insurity customers. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented self-starter who learns quickly, communicates clearly, works effectively both independently and with a team, and welcomes feedback while taking increasing ownership of technical work.
What Our Software Engineer II Will Do
- Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes
Design
o Design solutions to problems/defects with minimal supervision
After 18 Months:
o Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items
Development
o Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments
o Provides first level of technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for customer, BA and QA reported problems
o Develop and present solutions for assigned problems and enhancements (basic to moderate complexity)
Who We’re Looking For
- Recommended: 4-6 years’ experience
- Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
