We are proud to be on a journey where we're focused on helping people worldwide improve their golf game which leads to healthy, active and social lifestyles. All of our products are developed, tested and deployed from our newly renovated R&D office in Stockholm, Sweden. Join us at Toptracer Technologies and be part of a team dedicated to creating positive change through technology and innovation! 🚀 💻 💙
The Broadcast Development team builds the systems behind broadcast graphics, real-time tournament data, scoring experiences, and data distribution. Our work turns complex tournament information into engaging experiences for television audiences and supports data sharing with external partners.
We work across software engineering, cloud services, messaging systems, graphics technology, real-time applications, and hardware-integrated systems. Our software runs alongside the camera and radar technology used as sensors during tournaments, and we work closely with our Hardware Engineering teams to deliver reliable end-to-end experiences.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer who can design and deliver features independently and own what they build, from design through to production. You'll work in our Broadcast Suite, which runs mainly on Windows today as we move toward Linux-based platforms, alongside the cloud, messaging and graphics work across the team.
You'll be a full member of the on-call rotation and run live broadcast tests at tournaments. Your work is seen by millions of viewers, so you'll care about reliability as much as features. You'll also help the engineers around you grow, through code reviews, onboarding, and sharing what you learn.
Technologies You Will Work With
Languages
C++, C# and Python
Platforms and technologies
Windows application development (our core platform), AWS, Docker, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, Vulkan and GPU computing, and databases
Practices
Git-based version control and collaborative code reviews, CI/CD, production monitoring and observability, and Agile software development.
Platform Evolution
Helping drive the transition toward Linux-based platforms and next-generation broadcast systems
What You Will Do
Design and deliver medium-complexity features from requirements to production, with realistic estimates
Contribute to architectural discussions and make sure technical decisions fit product and operational needs
Own the reliability of your components: monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response and runbooks
Take part in the on-call rotation
Run live broadcast tests independently and support on-site QA at golf tournaments (about 10% travel)
Help improve test coverage, CI and team practices
Review code, coach and onboard new team members
Spot and drive improvements across the Broadcast Suite
Work with senior engineers and patent attorneys to draft invention disclosures when relevant
What We Are Looking For
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including owning production software components
2+ years of C++, C# and Python as a primary programming language
2+ years of Windows application development
A desire to continuously learn and improve
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good judgment about quality and performance when live production is affected
Clear written and verbal communication
It's a Plus If You Have
An MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics or a related field
Experience with Linux application development, cloud development, or tracking- or physics-related software
Graphics programming experience (Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, CUDA or GPU compute)
Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, NATS or Azure Service Bus
Experience with computer vision, image processing, OpenCV or tracking systems
You Will Thrive Here If You
Take responsibility for how your work behaves in production, not just whether it ships
Stay calm and methodical when something breaks during a live event
Enjoy explaining what you know and helping others improve
Are curious about how software, hardware and sensors work together end-to-end
Care about the viewers, partners and tournament organisers who rely on what we build
Why Join Us
Work on technology used in professional golf broadcasts around the world
See your features and fixes in live use at major tournaments
Work with both software and hardware engineering teams
Shape how we build, test and operate the Broadcast Suite
Grow your technical depth and your influence across the team
