Software Engineer III

Software Engineer III leads the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high reliability and efficiency through collaboration, innovative solutions, and rigorous code standards. Key Responsibilities: Advances the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems, with a focus on modern web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and Vite. Drives the modification, documentation, and maintenance of software to ensure high reliability, availability, and responsive user experiences. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address advanced technical challenges and optimize application performance, scalability, accessibility, and frontend architecture. Analyzes system requirements and delivers innovative technical solutions to enhance software quality, usability, and efficiency. Develops reusable UI components, integrates RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and implements responsive, accessible, and performant web applications using modern frontend frameworks and tooling. Completes code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards. Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product, UX/UI design, and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience. Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL and relational databases. Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s). Familiarity with modern frontend technologies including React, Next.js, Node.js, Vite, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frontend build tools is preferred. Work Experience: Software engineering and development experience or a related job. Experience in application design, software development, and automated testing. Experience in object-oriented design and coding with a variety of programming languages. Experience developing modern web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, Vite, and TypeScript. Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases. Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, and user stories. Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance), including frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright. Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Zustand), responsive design, web accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization is a plus.
