A Software Engineer for iOS Mobile Development designs, develops, and maintains product modules, mobile application features, and supporting sub-systems, ensuring software quality through comprehensive unit, integration, and release testing. The role independently owns feature development efforts, troubleshoots complex technical issues, and contributes to the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions. Working closely with QA, Product Support, Product Management, and other engineering teams, the Software Engineer researches and resolves issues across development and customer environments, participates in code reviews and technical discussions, and contributes to continuous improvements in application performance, reliability, and development practices. The role also supports system administration, implementation activities, CI/CD processes, and performance troubleshooting to ensure efficient and dependable product operation. this

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS application features and product modules.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to ensure software quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and technical challenges.
  • Work independently on medium-to-large features and contribute to larger project initiatives.
  • Evaluate project requirements and develop technical solutions, processes, and specifications to address business and product needs.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions and recommend improvements to application architecture, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Research and resolve issues identified by QA, Product Support, and customers.
  • Support release activities, beta programs, and CI/CD processes.
  • Continuously expand technical expertise and stay current with mobile development technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production iOS applications with Swift.
  • Hands-on UIKit and iOS SDK experience.
  • Ability to independently deliver well-scoped features, enhancements, or defect fixes.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented design and at least one mobile architecture pattern such as MVC or MVVM.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and processing JSON.
  • Structured debugging and troubleshooting skills, with attention to software quality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile, cross-functional engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SwiftUI in production or project work.
  • Experience with offline features, caching, and data synchronization.
  • Exposure to memory management, performance optimization, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Experience contributing to code reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Experience with Clean Architecture or comparable separation-of-concerns approaches.
  • Additional exposure to Android/native Java, JavaScript, XML, or SOAP.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent practical preparation, if required by local policy.
