Software Engineer (Java)

Job Title: Software Engineer (Java) Location: Farmington, MI Duration: Fulltime Project Overview: You will be part of an Agile development team building and supporting enterprise web applications, special projects, and internal tools. This role involves coding, troubleshooting, design reviews, and ensuring software is high-performing, secure, and standards-compliant. Responsibilities Develop user interface and server-side components using approved frameworks. Participate in design/code reviews and recommend improvements. Work closely with team members to deliver high-quality, standards-based solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve defects in production systems. Follow Agile processes and contribute to continuous improvement. Must-Have Skills 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer Strong expertise with Java (SE & EE) Experience with RESTful APIs, XML, ORM, MVC frameworks Proficiency with testing frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Test-Driven Development) Experience with databases (SQL, stored procedures, relational databases) Exposure to distributed systems, microservices, SOA Nice-to-Have Skills Java Messaging experience Hands-on with client-side scripting Participation in community of practice or knowledge-sharing groups
