We are hiring a Software Engineer for an international technology company developing a large-scale B2B software platform.
The engineering team works with significant volumes of data and builds systems that help business customers consolidate information, measure performance, generate reports, and use data to support decision-making.
This position is focused on backend engineering, data processing, analytics, and reporting. You will work on an established production platform and contribute to systems where data accuracy, reliability, scalability, and maintainability are particularly important.
The role also involves building AI-enabled functionality and using modern AI development tools as part of the regular engineering workflow.

Requirements:

4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong understanding of SQL and the analytical logic behind it
Experience working with SQL query builders and/or ORMs
Strong TypeScript skills
Professional experience with Node.js and its ecosystem
Experience modifying and deploying large production systems
Hands-on experience with production database schema migrations
Experience building analytical, reporting, or data aggregation systems
A test-driven approach to development, including experience defining testing strategies and creating test harnesses
Working knowledge of application architecture and modular software design
Ability to investigate complex logic, identify the right questions, and break problems into clear steps
Experience with Docker
Experience working with CI pipelines
Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools as part of the development workflow
Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly

Responsibilities:

Develop and extend data-intensive measurement, analytics, and reporting functionality used by business customers
Work primarily with TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem
Convert complex analytical requirements into well-structured SQL and application logic
Work with SQL query builders and/or ORMs
Build and maintain analytical and data aggregation functionality
Work with large existing production systems
Implement and safely release production database schema migrations
Deploy application and database changes while maintaining system availability and stability
Apply a test-driven approach to software development
Define testing strategies and build test harnesses for data-heavy functionality
Design maintainable solutions using modular application architecture
Investigate complex data and application logic and break larger problems into manageable development steps
Build AI-enabled product functionality, including integrations that allow product data to be used within AI-driven workflows
Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of your day-to-day development process
Communicate analytical and technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues

Nice to have:
