The AI Entities team builds the core technology that transforms unstructured information from legal and medical documents into reliable, structured information that powers EvenUp's products. We build systems that understand, organize, and manage information throughout the lifecycle of a legal case.

As a New Grad Software Engineer on the AI Entities team, you will work at the intersection of backend engineering, document processing, and AI. You will collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, machine learning experts, and product teams to build systems that process large volumes of documents and power AI-driven experiences.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve systems that extract and structure information from large volumes of unstructured documents.

• Develop reliable backend services and systems that support document processing and AI-powered products.

• Work with engineers and data scientists to integrate AI technologies into production systems.

• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems as we grow.

• Build tools and infrastructure that help teams develop, evaluate, and operate AI-powered systems.

• Participate in the full project lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and iteration.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and machine learning teams to solve complex problems.

• Learn new technologies and contribute to the evolution of our AI platform.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.

• Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

• Experience building software through internships, co-ops, academic projects, personal projects, or other practical experience.

• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to break down complex problems.

• Curiosity about AI and interest in applying AI to real-world problems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow as an engineer.

Nice to Have

• Experience building backend systems or applications that work with large volumes of information.

• Experience working with unstructured data such as documents, text, or images.

• Familiarity with AI, LLMs, machine learning, or natural language processing.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, testing, or system performance.
