About the Client and the role

Our client is a travel studio specialising in personalised itineraries and end-to-end customer service, delivering tailored travel experiences to a global client base.

For this project we're seeking Odoo Troubleshooting Consultant to support and stabilize our Client's existing system landscape. This is not a traditional development role, but a hands-on, problem-solving position focused on identifying issues, improving system performance, and ensuring the platform effectively supports business operations.

This is a part-time (hourly) contract role with flexible working hours, ideal for a senior consultant who can work independently and deliver high-impact results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical advisor, guiding decisions on whether to fix, refactor, or rebuild specific components (some developed by an Odoo partner)
  
• Support client stakeholders (CFO,CEO) in quick adjustments and changes as needed
• Ensure that all changes are implemented with minimal disruption to ongoing business operations
• Provide clear documentation and recommendations for future scalability and maintainability

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Odoo (CRM and ERP modules) with a focus on analyzing, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing implementations
• Proven experience taking over complex or underperforming Odoo environments and bringing them to stability
• Hands-on experience with Odoo APIs, Custom objects, Workflow automation, Debugging and resolving integration issues
• Proficiency in Python and XML
• Deep understanding of Odoo framework and architecture, including performance bottlenecks and system dependencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Experience working in client-facing consulting roles
• Excellent communication skills, with good command of English (German is a plus, but not required)
