Software Engineer, Product (Full Stack)

Come build the rails of B2B commerce in hospitality, starting with hotels What excites you You’re someone who has worked on early-stage teams, perhaps even as a founder, and love wearing multiple hats (to a healthy extent). You've seen products come to life from just a spark of an idea, and even if things don't quite pan out, you're motivated by the process of making something from nothing. You want to work on software that has real, tangible value to deliver to the people who need it, even if the solution can be basic or 'unsexy' sometimes. You're an expert at prioritization and time management who can gracefully adapt to new facts on the fly as you make tradeoffs between customer and business needs. You're focused on quality, not quantity. You can distill complex systems in the service of building delightful yet powerful applications. What excites us You have 8+ years of hands-on experience as a senior contributor to teams that have proved they can ship great products. You're a full-stack generalist equally adept with with popular client-side and server-side technologies (Ruby on Rails / Hotwire / Typescript / React / Node.js / Postgres). You have strong experience building responsive, intuitive user interfaces and can seamless transition between frontend and backend work. You have solid object-oriented design and programming skills with experience architecting solutions for complex data-intensive systems. You have experience building software that enables money movement with a penchant for digitizing historically paper-based processes. You try to give back to the development community as a contributor to Open Source Software projects or other pro-bono avenues. Working at Folio Folio is a Ruby on Rails app with Typescript Node.js automations deployed to AWS. Our engineering team meets daily for standup (except Friday) and otherwise keep meetings to a minimum. We're a remote-first company. Quarterly, we travel to work together in-person and stay with one of our hotel partners. For the most part, we rely on Google Meet, GitHub, Linear, Notion, and Slack to make decisions and get things done day-to-day. What we value Craft .
