DESCRIPTION

Do you want to grow as an engineer by building systems that handle millions of messages every day? In this role, you will work on backend applications that need to be fast and reliable, and you will learn from experienced engineers along the way.

You will collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and help build reliable, high-quality software in a collaborative engineering environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain backend services, contributing to technical design decisions;

  • Contribute to building scalable, reliable, and distributed backend systems;

  • Work with Java, Spring, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and MySQL to enhance our products, ensuring security, efficiency, and responsiveness;

  • Maintain and collaborate on internal tools for monitoring, debugging, and optimizing applications;

  • Contribute to the observability, reliability, and fault tolerance of backend services;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineers, UX Designers, and Product Managers;

  • Maintain a strong focus on code quality, security, testing, and software development best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or related fields;

  • Advanced/fluent English.

  • Professional experience in backend development using Java/JVM;

  • Experience with Spring Framework/Spring Boot;

  • Experience with SQL databases, preferably MySQL;

  • Knowledge of NoSQL/key-value databases such as Redis;

  • Knowledge of asynchronous messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or RabbitMQ;

  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed applications;

  • Problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting backend applications;

  • Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS;

  • Familiarity with containerized environments using Docker and/or Kubernetes;

  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools;

BIG PLUS!

  • Experience with Kotlin;

  • Experience with Reactor;

  • Knowledge of gRPC/Protobuf;

  • Experience with event-driven architectures;

  • Experience working with high-scale distributed systems.
