Software Test Engineer

A large healthcare technology business is looking for a senior professional to lead automated quality assurance initiatives for critical software solutions. This role focuses on designing comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies and building scalable CI pipelines to ensure the reliability of desktop, .NET, and web-based applications. The successful candidate will act as a quality advocate, integrating modern engineering practices and advanced technology to improve system performance and stability.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and implementing end-to-end test strategies across unit, integration, system, UI, and performance levels.

• Developing and maintaining test harnesses and CI pipelines to provide fast, reliable feedback for diverse technology stacks.

• Planning and executing load and performance tests to identify bottlenecks and mitigate stability risks.

• Collaborating with architecture and product teams to embed shift-left engineering practices and test-driven development.

• Utilizing advanced AI agents and tools to generate, maintain, and triage automated tests and workflows.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in senior-level test automation with a deep understanding of multi-layered frameworks and performance testing.

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript, alongside experience with modern CI/CD tools.

• Proven ability to integrate AI-driven coding tools and agentic workflows into quality assurance processes.

• Professional fluency in both German and English with strong problem-solving skills and high quality standards.
