About Hyxi
Hyxi (Zhejiang Hyxi Technology Co., Ltd.) is a smart solar-and-storage technology company headquartered in Hangzhou, China, with our European headquarters in the Netherlands. Our product range covers PV string and hybrid inverters, residential energy storage systems and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage systems, supported by full in-house R&D, manufacturing and certification capability.
Australia is one of the most mature and fastest-moving rooftop solar markets in the world: millions of households already generate their own power, battery attach rates are climbing quickly as export tariffs and time-of-use tariffs push self-consumption, and C&I storage is moving from pilot projects to repeat purchases. We are now building our Australian distributor network and are hiring a Sales Representative to run that channel.
About the role
This is a field sales role focused on the distributor channel — you will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding and growing solar distributors, resellers and installer partners across Australia, and for hitting the sales and collection targets on your accounts.
It is a home-based position with no fixed city requirement: work from wherever you are in Australia and travel to your accounts (frequent domestic travel, with occasional interstate trips). You report to our overseas sales lead and work day to day with the Hangzhou product and supply-chain teams and our Netherlands European headquarters on certification, stock, logistics and after-sales. English is the working language; you will coordinate across time zones.
What you'll do
- Identify, approach and sign solar distributors, wholesalers and resellers across Australia; build a repeatable, well-covered channel for our inverter, residential storage and C&I storage ranges.
- Manage your accounts commercially: pricing and quotation, terms and rebates, order placement, delivery follow-up, collections and after-sales coordination.
- Grow sell-through with existing partners — stock plans, joint promotions, installer training days, product launches and demo units — not just first orders.
- Visit distributors and installers on a planned route; be the face of the brand in market and turn one-off buyers into committed partners.
- Support your partners' sales teams with product training and honest technical positioning against the brands they currently carry; escalate technical cases to our support team and see them closed.
- Keep a clean pipeline and forecast in CRM; report monthly on accounts, volume, pricing pressure and payment status.
- Feed the market back to head office: competitor models and pricing, warranty and certification requirements, distributor consolidation, and gaps in our range.
- Work with our technical and certification team so that what you sell and promote fits Australian grid-connection and product-approval requirements (CEC approved products, AS/NZS 4777.2, applicable state scheme rules).
- Represent Hyxi at Australian solar industry events, trade shows and distributor conferences.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- 2 or more years of sales experience in the new energy industry — solar PV, inverters, energy storage or adjacent electrical/solar products.
- Channel or distributor sales experience: you have sold to, or managed relationships with, distributors, wholesalers or large installer networks rather than only end customers.
- Existing working relationships with Australian solar distributors and installers are a strong advantage and will short-list your application.
- Practical knowledge of the Australian residential and C&I solar/storage market: what distributors and installers care about, how products get approved and specified, and how the rebate and certificate environment affects a sale.
- Fluent English, written and spoken — you will negotiate, present and write in English every day.
- Self-managed and disciplined in a home-based role: you plan your own week, keep your CRM current and follow deals through to cash.
- Comfortable with frequent travel within Australia to meet partners face to face.
- Solid commercial judgement, negotiation skills and a target-driven, resilient attitude.
Nice to have
- Time spent at a solar or storage competitor in an Australian sales role — e.g. Sungrow, GoodWe, Growatt, Deye, Solis, Sofar Solar, Fronius, SMA, Victron Energy, Huawei, Sigenergy, Hoymiles, Pylontech or Trina Storage.
- Direct relationships with national or state-level solar wholesalers and distributors such as SolarShop, Sydney Solar Centre, Energy Matters, Mad Energy, Lenergy, Spring Solar, Buldmobile, Narelec or Bapsec.
- Experience selling hybrid inverters and battery systems into the installer channel, including warranty, commissioning and after-sales handling.
- Familiarity with AS/NZS 4777.2 grid-connection practice, CEC Approved Products listing and state battery/incentive scheme paperwork.
- Mandarin or Cantonese — helpful when working directly with head office, though not required (English is the working language for this role).
What we offer
- Local Australian employment (full-time contract), not an overseas secondment.
- Competitive salary plus performance-based incentive — the numbers are discussed directly with short-listed candidates.
- The chance to build a national distributor network for a full-range solar and storage manufacturer at an early, high-impact stage of the Australian rollout — you will shape the channel, not inherit a fixed book.
- Real backing from the factory and both headquarters: product and roadmap input, certification support, stocking and logistics, technical and after-sales help for your partners.
- Training on the full product range, plus a clear development path as the Australian team grows.
