Solicitor - Casualty Injury - Large Loss Team

What you will do?

• You are expected to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to our clients in the management of claims.
• Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated work.
• Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions.
• Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects.
• Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
• Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents.
• Maintain contact with our clients and their customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
• Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs).
• Support the Team Partners in delivering case clinics/surgeries/training to clients
• Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.

Who you are

• An experienced solicitor with previous experience employers' liability and public claims, particularly those with an interest in health and social care claims.
• Proven communication skills at all levels
• Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
• Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues as well as able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
• An ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an ‘academic’ approach to legal issues.
• Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
