Solution Architect, Applied AI- Montreal Only

Plusgrade is scaling its AI ecosystem beyond prototypes into production-grade agentic systems, and we need a Solution Architect to bridge machine learning, data engineering, and enterprise architecture to power real-time travel experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

As the architectural cornerstone of our Applied AI Engineering team, you will design low-latency, full-stack machine learning architectures that seamlessly connect complex backend ML logic with frontend delivery layers. You will partner closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture to synchronize data pipelines, feature delivery, and production model lifecycles across our global platforms. Our software delivery and system design are structured directly around AI capabilities, giving teams the architectural foundations needed to deploy agentic systems with speed and reliability. By keeping a pulse on emerging paradigms and translating relevant models into technical direction, you will ensure our AI products are scalable, highly available, and built to last.

What You Bring

• You bring a deep background in systems architecture and software engineering, with extensive experience designing distributed, low-latency machine learning platforms that connect backend logic to frontend delivery layers.
• You have taken AI systems past the proof-of-concept phase into robust production environments, including hands-on experience with agentic workflows, LLM orchestration, and vector databases.
• You naturally bridge technical domains, bringing Data Science, Data Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture together to establish clear technical standards and deliver on roadmap commitments.
• You master cloud-native infrastructure and MLOps practices, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and tools like SageMaker to ensure high availability and smooth lifecycle management.
• You have structurally changed how teams build software around AI, creating shared architectural patterns and standards that allow engineering groups to move materially faster while keeping systems reliable and secure.
