Show job description

The Solution Architect, Cyber BPI is a full-time role responsible for translating BPI business requirements and future-state process designs into practical technology-enabled solutions across CDR. The role will help define how applications, data, integrations, workflow, automation, infrastructure, and existing enterprise capabilities should work together to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, improve controls, and enable scalable operations.

Based in Bangalore, this role will work closely with BPI leadership, Business Analysts, Project Managers, process owners, application and platform teams, and global technology stakeholders. The architect will support solution design from discovery through implementation, document target architectures and key decisions, and help ensure technical solutions remain aligned to business outcomes and enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

BPI Solution Architecture and Design

  • Translate future-state processes, business requirements, pain points, and control needs into coherent solution designs.

  • Develop end-to-end solution views spanning applications, workflow, automation, data, integrations, infrastructure, security, and operational support.

  • Identify where existing enterprise capabilities can be reused and where new capabilities or changes are required.

  • Create and maintain solution architecture documentation, diagrams, interface views, assumptions, constraints, and key design decisions.

  • Partner with Business Analysts and process owners to ensure solution design remains traceable to the business problem, requirements, and expected outcomes.

  • Assess non-functional needs including scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, performance, and supportability.

Technology Evaluation and Optimization

  • Evaluate solution options and articulate trade-offs across capability, complexity, cost, risk, time to implement, and long-term support.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify the technology landscape, automate manual processes, consolidate capabilities, and improve interoperability.

  • Work with application developers, platform teams, data teams, infrastructure teams, and third parties to validate feasibility and refine designs.

  • Support technology selection and ensure proposed solutions align with relevant enterprise standards and strategic direction.

  • Consider total lifecycle impact, including implementation, licensing, operational ownership, support, controls, and technical debt.

Automation, Data, and Integration Enablement

  • Design solutions that appropriately leverage workflow and automation capabilities, including Microsoft Power Platform and other enterprise automation tools where applicable.

  • Define integration requirements and patterns between business applications, platforms, data sources, and downstream reporting.

  • Partner with data stakeholders to address data quality, ownership, lineage, definitions, and reporting requirements within the solution.

  • Support design of controls, exception handling, monitoring, and auditability for automated processes.

  • Evaluate opportunities for AI-enabled capabilities where they provide a practical, controlled improvement to the target process.

Delivery and Implementation Support

  • Partner with delivery teams from solution definition through build, testing, implementation, stabilization, and handoff.

  • Provide architectural clarification during development and resolve design issues without losing alignment to the target state.

  • Support technical review of prototypes, proofs of concept, integrations, and vendor solutions.

  • Help define implementation sequencing and identify architectural dependencies, technical risks, and prerequisites.

  • Ensure final implementation and documentation reflect approved architecture or that deviations are understood and governed.

Stakeholder and Architecture Leadership

  • Translate technical concepts into clear business language for process owners and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Facilitate solution-design discussions and work effectively across business and technology teams in distributed locations.

  • Document architecture decisions, risks, assumptions, and dependencies clearly and transparently.

  • Promote collaboration between BPI, operations, technology, security, data, and support teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in solution design, application/integration architecture, software engineering, technology consulting, or a related technology discipline.

  • Experience translating business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation-ready solution documentation.

  • Good understanding of enterprise applications, APIs and integrations, data, cloud/infrastructure, security, and automation concepts.

  • Experience with Azure or AWS and exposure to modern automation, workflow, and integration approaches.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, workflow/orchestration tools, APIs, BI/data platforms, or similar enterprise technologies is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and document assumptions and design decisions.

  • Experience supporting global or distributed delivery teams is advantageous.

  • Exposure to business process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or technology-enabled transformation is advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Success Profile

  • Structured solution thinker who can connect process requirements to technology design.

  • Practical and collaborative, with a bias toward reusable enterprise capabilities rather than unnecessary complexity.

  • Analytical problem solver who surfaces risks, assumptions, dependencies, and trade-offs early.

  • Clear communicator who works effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Curious technologist motivated to build deeper architecture and BPI transformation capability.

Measures of Success

  • Solutions are clearly traceable to BPI business requirements, target processes, and measurable outcomes.

  • Architecture designs are scalable, resilient, secure, supportable, and aligned with applicable enterprise standards.

  • Technology reuse, automation, integration, and simplification opportunities are identified and incorporated where they add business value.

  • Architecture decisions, dependencies, risks, and implementation requirements are transparent and well documented.

  • Strong partnership across BPI leadership, Business Analysts, Project Managers, process owners, technology teams, and global delivery stakeholders.
