PROJECT
Join a newly established engineering POD responsible for delivering a Proof of Concept for an open-source workload automation platform, with a roadmap toward enterprise-scale implementation. In this role, you will define the end-to-end architecture, drive key technical decisions, and ensure the solution is scalable, resilient, secure, and ready for global operations. This is a unique opportunity to influence both the technical direction and future evolution of a strategic platform.
YOU WILL
- Design and own the end-to-end architecture for both the Proof of Concept and future production deployment.
- Define scalable workload automation solutions based on open-source technologies.
- Drive architectural decisions across platform design, integrations, data flows, security, observability, availability, and resiliency.
- Collaborate closely with global engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term operability.
- Provide technical leadership during architecture and design discussions.
- Align technical solutions with business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, including solution diagrams, ADRs, roadmaps, and non-functional requirements.
- Work with engineering and DevOps teams to establish deployment patterns, CI/CD standards, and operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, System Architecture, or a senior engineering role with significant architectural ownership.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong expertise in workload automation solutions.
- Hands-on or architectural-level experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Apache Airflow or comparable workflow orchestration platforms
- Strong understanding of microservices architectures, APIs, and distributed systems design.
- Solid knowledge of architecture best practices, including security-by-design, resiliency, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills within global environments.
- Ability to translate business objectives into practical technical solutions and guide implementation teams.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Understanding of testing strategies, quality assurance processes, and non-functional testing.
- Experience working with broader open-source ecosystems, including Linux and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and logging solutions in production environments.
